PRIVACY POLICY

What we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your personal data.

Last updated: 16 August 2026

This policy explains how Dancing Chef Biriyani (Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu) handles personal data collected through this website, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"). The data fiduciary is the operating entity Legal entity to be confirmed.

1.What we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

  • Contact details you provide — your name, phone number, city and message when you use our contact or franchise forms. These forms do not store data on this site; they open a WhatsApp message that you choose to send to us.
  • Communications — the content of calls, WhatsApp chats or messages you send us, so we can respond and fulfil your request.
  • Basic technical data — standard information your browser sends (such as device and general usage), used only to keep the site working and secure.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, passwords, card numbers, bank details or government ID through this website.

2.Why we use it (purpose)

We use your personal data only for the purpose you shared it: to respond to enquiries, take and confirm reservations or orders, answer franchise interest, and improve our service. We rely on your consent, given when you choose to contact us, and process the data for these specified, lawful purposes under the DPDP Act.

3.Third parties and delivery platforms

If you order through Swiggy, Zomato or WhatsApp, your data is also handled by those providers under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We share your details with service providers only as needed to serve you (for example a delivery partner), and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4.How long we keep it (retention)

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law (for example tax and accounting rules). When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

5.Your rights under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, 2023, you may:

  • access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to erase your personal data where it is no longer required;
  • withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time; and
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and raise a grievance about how we handle your data.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out while consent was valid.

6.Making a request or deletion

To exercise any right above — including deletion of your data — contact us through our contact page or call +91 95005 58840. Our dedicated privacy email address is To be confirmed. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7.Children

This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child without verifiable parental or guardian consent, as required by the DPDP Act.

8.Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law evolve. The version shown here, with its "last updated" date, is the one currently in effect.
